Kartanot Kiitoon is a project for a group of businesses started by the rural development program for continental Finland that is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD). The timeframe of the project is from 1.4.2019 to 31.12.2021. The project is governed by the Haapavesi-Siikalatva consortium of municipalities.
Three rural travel businesses are involved in the project: Pitojen Helmi from Liminka, Country Estate Pihkala from Kestilä, and Törmälän Tila from Siikajoki. The goal of the project is to find both common and individual aspects that can be further developed in each business. The aim is to enable the three businesses to act under one unified brand. This brand can then be utilised in marketing and producing services for the businesses.
- Shared and complimentary travel products will be created for these three businesses during the project. This will improve their ability to compete on the market, and to offer interesting combinations of various services to attract customers.
- The project also develops the skills and know-how of the entrepreneurs and their staff through training and study trips. Some of the training provided is available for all three businesses, and some is specifically tailored to each unique business.
- The goal of the project is to generate joint marketing for businesses both domestically and internationally.
- The project also features building a support network of specialists to assist the entrepreneurs.
